Legend tells of La Tatuana, once a slave -marked not only by chains, but by a fate imposed upon her.
But her soul was far greater than her bars.
- She learned to read the stars and write with the wind. -
One night, accused of witchcraft for being a woman guided by her own will, she was imprisoned and sentenced to death.
The night before her execution, she asked for a cup of black coffee and drew a boat with her fingers with the remnants of coffee inside the cup -not a boat of war, but a simple paper boat.
When the drawing was complete, the boat came to life. Beneath the full moon, La Tatuana stepped aboard and vanished.
Since then, they say that whatever there is wind, magic, and coffee, she still sails.

The story of La Tatuana, is reflected in the women coffee producers of today.
Free and independent thanks to their work and effort; their magic.
