For as long as they could remember, Laura and Fernanda woke up to the sweet scent of coffee honey. Their small hands learned to glide through the branches of the coffee plants.
The farm was their playground and also their school.
Between races along the dirt paths and hiding under the trees, the girls absorbed the rhythm of the countryside: the birds singing, the murmur of workers telling stories as they selected the best beans.
With each harvest, the aroma of freshly picked coffee enveloped them. Over the years, Laura and Fernanda not only learned the art of growing coffee, but also understood the life each bean carried within it.
As they grew up, their passion for coffee became their path. It wasn't just a business; it was a legacy, a story written with the scent of their childhood and the warmth of their memories.
Every time they pour a cup, they know that inside it there is something more than coffee: the earth of their home, the love of their parents, and the nostalgia of their first days under the country sun.
Behind our Tatuana Coffee is The International Women's Coffee Alliance (IWCA), an organization that unites and supports the work of a global network of women in the international coffee community.
Women face multiple challenges in the coffee value chain, including underrepresentation in leadership roles, leading to limited opportunities for growth. IWCA is uniquely poised to provide a leadership role to address some of these challenges through education and advocacy to ensure an equitable coffee industry.
The first chapter of this whimsical tale, we call it home: Guatemala.
Full-bodied cup. Notes of cocoa, wallnut and black berries. Pear-like acidiy, long balanced aftertaste.
Blend of naturally and washed processed Guatemalan coffee beans. Roasted and grounded in small batches.
Bold espresso showcasing plum, molasses and toasted malt with hints of black pepper. Smooth malic acidity, creamy texture and sweet finish balanced cup.
Blend of washed Guatemalan Bourboun and Catuai coffee beans, roasted in small batches.
Since then, they say that wherever there is wind, magic and coffee, she still sails. - Free, always free. -
